Home Buyer Tax Credit Extended & Expanded - Tuesday, November 24, 2009

The Home Buyer Tax Credit that was set to expire at the end of November has been extended through April 30th 2010. This original tax credit of up to $8,000 is available to just about anyone who has not owned a home in the previous 3 years. The program was also expanded to allow for a tax credit of up to $6,500 for homeowners who have lived in their previous homes for 5 consecutive years and purchase a new or re-sale home between Nov. 6th, 2009-April 30th 2010.
